I wonder if people could "digest" (or get nutrition from, really) cellulose if we ingested termite poop to establish colonies in our gut of whatever protist it is that helps termites digest cellulose.

Granted, there's probably no reason to do that unless we're in some crazy wartime with no food, but faced with the choice of that or starvation . . .

I own this. It's a fantastic book, to be sure, but I think $10,000 is a bit excessive.
