Jan. 18th, 2007 09:19 pmI have a car!
Well, I have an immanent car, sort of, pending Monday's MD state inspection and the current owner's ability to produce a clear title (which we do not expect to be a problem).
It is red. It is a Corolla. It has a working speedometer, which is pretty fucking awesome, standard though it is. (Current car does not have a working speedometer, which is decidedly un-awesome.) It has a tape player (better than CD player, actually, because you can hook an mp3 player up to it) and nice pickup, which is good in case I ever turn into a speed demon. Or, you know, start driving fast enough that I might want to pass someone on the highway. Or start driving on highways...but I digress. It has manual/non-power windows and locks, which is strange in this day and age. But frankly, we've never had a car that had them, so I can't really say it'll be a problem. It drives very much like the Civic, which is good 'cause I'm used to the Civic and 'cause it's a good car for someone who's 5'-4"-and-a-quarter. It is located in Rockville (~1 hour away), unfortunately, which is going to make getting it inspected and home a bitch, but my mother is helping me out, which is awful swell of her.
My current totally punchy state of mind probably isn't so awful swell for anyone around me, but I'm too out of it to notice, so it's all good.
