I'm not proud. Or tired.
Mar. 16th, 2007 07:22 amSomehow, within the space of the past year and a half, I've gone from avoiding caffeine almost entirely to drinking multiple cups of strong coffee and tea a day. I blame this on the jobs I've had.
Random: do you have a model of excellent, not-huge and not hugely-expensive (less than $100, probably a lot less unlessthey're exquisite they produce exquisite sound) computer speakers that you would recommend? Mine are, well...let's say that being 5+ years old and having a huge indentation melted* into the top is no longer the worst of their problems. They're not really stereo anymore, at least not consistently.
Really what I need to do is get a computer desk and set things up properly, and then speaker size wouldn't matter so much because the speakers would have some real home instead of living on my windowsill or the top of my CPU tower or wherever else they can be stashed without disturbing the cat.
I signed up for a new credit card last night--Chase Freedom. My current one is a Mastercard because that's what they gave me even though I'd signed up for a Visa card w/ the bank and I never bothered saying anything. New one gives me cash back and shit, which I thought the old one did--but it turned out that you had to carry a balance (umm, NO) to get cash back, and I never bothered complaining about that either. I found out recently that my aunt doesn't have a credit card because she can't get credit, not because she decided that it's a bad idea for a bipolar person with poor spending habits and lots of debt to have a credit card. Oh well. I guess it's a good thing the credit card companies made that decision for her.
