I'm off to go buy my first pair of "stockings" (knee-highs, really) in years for a job interview for a job I don't really want.  Funny, but I have a pair of dress shoes that can really only be worn with stockings--purchased for this very purpose a year ago--and yet never bought stockings to go with them. 

Overall, I think I prefer the sort of job where you can wear sneakers or tie shoes.

Those people who say that women should be barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen...well, I'm not sure about the last two, but they certainly have the "barefoot" part right.
