Well fuck. Apparently the reason people don't pet puppies sometimes is that they're training them to be fighting dogs or guard dogs.  I was going to say "WTF?  A lab-shepherd mix as a fighting dog?" but then I realized that even pit bulls, which are a typical fighting dog, can be fantastically sweet if you pet them.  Er, and properly socialize them.  And besides, no dog should be a fighting dog.  It's bad enough that they race greyhounds.

I ain't even gonna look at your link. I can imagine... I was thinking of looking into this local group that is trying to get chaining your dog banned in Durham. Not that "thinking of looking into" is much a plan for action.
