I cut out caffeine in the past week. (I'd say "weaned" but that implies a gradual shift, and I just stopped drinking coffee and dealt with the afternoon headaches.) Instead of coffee I've been drinking Inka with milk but no sugar--even though I put sugar in coffee, somehow the Inka tastes better without it.  (I grew up drinking various coffee substitutes--Pero, Postum, Cafix--and decaffeinated coffee tastes like crap, so coffee substitutes it is.)

I think the quality of my sleep has improved, and I totally don't need the caffeine to be awake in the morning.

I really want to bake something (maybe bread or pie or cake), but a day where the forecast high temp is 90° is not an ideal day for that.  Darn, October, can't you be more reasonable? 

Also, since I turned 18 I've had the attention span of gnat.  It's not something I was used to 'cause I was never ADD as a kid (my mom filled the ADHD niche nicely in our home while I was the focused one.) I think I still haven't come to terms with it and figured out how to deal with it. I think it's related to things like emotional state and anxiety level (which shot through the roof during my senior year of HS) for me, though.

Also also, I love this picture (sketch of two dogs). Someone on LJ has an icon made out of it.
