The so-called Oprah bra is indeed quite awesome, at least so far.  (I found one for $14.99 at Marshalls, though you can also get them inexpensively, new, on ebay.)  Most American manufacturers totally suck and don't make my size, but this brand does, which is always nice.  Seriously, when you compare the range of sizes available in your average US store (rather limited for people with small ribcages) and the average European or British Commonwealth country store/manufacturer (rather extensive), it's bizarre.  Americans seem to know/care diddly-squat about bra fitting.

I don't get it. It seems like, oh, a third of women seem to have problems finding the bra size that fits, even once they know what size that is. (I made up that number, but I'd say it's more than ten percent and less than half.) Clearly there is a ridiculously huge market here that's not being served. Why?

I can't figure it out either. I'm pretty sure the problem is on the manufacturing level rather than the resale level, though, because the few manufacturers that make a decent range of sizes are high-end and expensive. Most people don't buy high-end bras/most stores that sell bras sell something other than high-end bras.

Maybe since (it seems) many people just find something available that sort of but not really fits (and salespeople in most places have pushed me to do that), and it's (presumably) cheaper/more efficient to make or stock a limited range of sizes...manufacturers just do that.

After Little Bear was born, my boobs grew to DD, and stayed that way. Of course, I have a really large band size as well. It's hell finding a decent bra that fits.

But I have to say, I have bodacious tatas.
