Oct. 18th, 2007 11:54 amHmm, I wonder how difficult it is to modify men's broadcloth shirts to make them slightly smaller and more fitted. There are so many more men's shirts that I like than women's in most thrift stores. Yesterday wasn't a very successful clothes-shopping trip.
I wore men's button-down oxfords throughout high school without altering them, but that was as part of a uniform and I didn't care much about how I looked. These days I prefer not to look like a shapeless blob, thanks. I should order that replacement bobbin-case for our sewing machine so I can experiment with darts.
Now, pants: do I dare just start stocking up on Levi's 515 bootcut jeans from ebay and never go jeans shopping again? I've already gone through 2 pairs and have 2 in current rotation. It's tempting.
